The Gen Z Era, aka the Zoomers, are a new breed of people. They exhibit distinct social characteristics compared to Millennials and Gen X. Let’s talk about what some of those differences are because I’d love to help my fellow Millennials learn to tolerate their day to day interactions without causing a huge fight.
- Diversity and Education:
- Gen Z is the most racially and ethnically diverse generation yet. They are on track to be the most well-educated generation, with a significant proportion pursuing higher education.
- Digital Natives: Growing up in a world dominated by smartphones, they have little or no memory of a time before these devices.
2. Economic Landscape:
- Unlike Millennials, who faced the Great Recession during their coming-of-age years, Gen Z initially inherited a strong economy with record-low unemployment. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered their prospects, leading to job losses and economic uncertainty.
